As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be part of a security team that supports critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues that requires an enhanced presence and asset protective services. Some officers primary responsibilities will include management and operation of all SOC equipment and may assume elements of shift supervision. SOC operators must be able to perform all Security Officer duties./ppExpected Duties and Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:/pulliFamiliarity with the assigned post and assigned duties./liliResponds to all orders from the Security Operations Center./liliMonitors all access control related duties to include the maintenance of client visitor management./liliMonitors all activities at their assigned site through foot patrol or video surveillance/Alarm monitoring./liliScreens visitors./liliExecutes the reporting and record keeping related to security operations./liliMaintains adherence to General and Standard Operating Procedures./liliMaintains inventory control and maintenance of security related equipment and systems./liliHandles emergencies and critical incidents such as trespassers, fire, medical situations, potential threats, and other emergency situations./liliEnsures proper safety management of facilities related issues./liliConducts timely patrols and appropriately challenges unauthorized personnel./liliCommunicates status and response with the Security Operations Center./liliProcesses, inspects, and arranges essential mail/packages when assigned./liliEnsures proper direction and routing of incoming calls to appropriate personnel./liliHandles all inquiries within capacity./liliMaintains confidentiality and assures discreet handling in all aspects of business./liliWorks collaboratively with other estate personnel./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pstrongQualifications:/strong/pulliMust be mentally alert and capable of exercising good judgment, implementing instructions, and assimilating necessary specialized training./liliMust have the ability to speak, read and write the English language./liliMust have the ability to understand and carry out oral and written direction and write accurate and clear reports/liliMust be able to monitor environmental and electronic security systems./li/ulpstrongBasic Requirements:/strong/pulliMust successfully pass a preemployment drug screen examination. The screen must have the ability to detect the use of: marijuana, cocaine, heroin, amphetamines, opiates, and benzodiazepines./liliMust complete training in Security and Emergency Procedures, Crowd Control, Irate/Hostile individual and Public Relations/liliMust undergo training in matters of state policy regarding drug awareness, sexual harassment, workplace violence, discrimination, and prohibition of the use of equipment./liliMust undergo formal training, if necessary./li/ulpstrongEducation Experience:/strong/pulliMust possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent/li/ulpstrongLicensing, Permits Certifications:/strong/pulliIf driving is a requirement for the assignment, a valid Driver License is mandatory./liliGuard Registration card/li/ulpstrongPhysical Mental Requirements:/strong/pulliMust be fully capable of performing the full range of security work requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion under either normal or emergency conditions./liliExhibit good general health without physical defects or abnormalities which would interfere with the performance of duties under the contract/li/ulpstrongVeterans/strong/ppInter-Con is passionate about hiring veterans.
