We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Facilities Technician to maintain the critical infrastructure of our data center and call centers. You will ensure 100% uptime by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting building systems, and overseeing specialized vendors. This role requires a foundational understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and a commitment to a 24/7 emergency response rotation.
Critical Infrastructure Support: Assist in the operation and basic maintenance of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, PDUs (Power Distribution Units), and backup generators.
HVAC & Cooling: Monitor and perform basic troubleshooting on data center cooling systems, including chilled water systems and CRAC/CRAH units.
General Maintenance: Perform basic electrical and plumbing repairs to ensure the facility remains in peak operating condition.
Vendor Coordination: Assist in scheduling, escorting, and monitoring third-party vendors during specialized maintenance or high-risk repairs to ensure compliance with facility protocols.
Emergency Response: Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to respond immediately to facility alarms, power outages, or equipment failures.
Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, equipment readings, and incident reports.
Technical Knowledge: Foundational understanding of Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Availability: Must be able to respond to emergencies 24/7 and work flexible hours as needed.
Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose mechanical/electrical issues and take appropriate corrective action.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in loud or confined environments.
Specialized Systems: Basic knowledge of UPS systems, PDUs, B.M.S. Systems, mobile and industrial generators.
Cooling Systems: Familiarity with chilled water loops.
Data Center Experience: Previous experience working in a mission-critical or high-uptime environment.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
