Job Details

Set up and operate CNC Nakamura Lathe machines Analyze and interpret blueprint, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces. Plan machine set ups, position work piece and operate various CNC machines through production runs to form specified quantities of piece parts to specified tolerances. Deburr parts as needed. Monitor machine functions to ensure that parts are manufactured to defined specifications Perform first piece inspections and make necessary adjustment to machine to ensure parts are formed to designated tolerances. Complete inspection reports as required and repair any defects found and document critical quality information as necessary Perform preventative maintenance and ensure machines are operating optimally. Communicate with managers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve quality issues.
