The Area Fleet Manager will support multiple locations and various fleet to improve asset performance by optimizing fleet utilization and profitability and assisting with remarketing efforts. The Area Fleet Manager will work with the Region Fleet Operations Manager, Region Operations Managers, and Branch Managers to develop and execute a fleet strategy to optimize returns on overall fleet assets.
Manage fleet utilization as a metric of FUR and UPA Lost Rent management trending, tracking, and movement of fleet throughout Regions/Division to eliminate un-needed purchases and transfers Seasonal fleet planning Snow removal, refineries, plant turnarounds Geographic/Product based specialization analysis Support rental need / deal sourcing as necessary Identify root cause of underperforming assets (rate, time ute, condition, etc) and suggest corrective action Deadline analysis work with Maintenance Managers and branches to provide heightened visibility to monitor trends, major failures, etc Based on analysis, identify opportunities for warranty collection Re-rent management weekly analysis of profit margins; reduce underperformance; re-negotiate with vendors Fleet aging analysis and follow up at local level Assist Fleet Manager on major projects Work detailed Fleet Plan at branch level Utilize Qlik Reports and train management on use Support all team members Compliance with inspections, vehicle condition, and pictures Work with Rental Sales Reps for retail sales opportunities Support MFS and auction process Control of assigned service vehicles proper fleet rotation; coordination with RAC Oversight of Service Fleet (delivery vehicles) for proper optimization Process Requisitions (based on authority limits) for low $ fleet and re-sale items Manage Re-sale assets proper stock levels, inventory on hand, etc Demonstrate active participation in Herc Rentals Safety Culture, always prioritizing the safety of team members and customers alike Learn and follow all company procedures and protocols
