Plumbing Journeyman

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a full-time position. The Journeyman Plumber will ensure the project is in alignment with all the Company's processes and requirements as well as maintain a safe work environment. Kilgore Industries is currently expanding in the region to light industrial, medical and commercial and is building a team for long term growth in the DFW market.

POSITION DUTIES:

• Installs PVC, cast iron, copper, PEX and piping hangers
• Solders copper, pro-press and solvent weld fittings
• Maintains the excavator to install underground piping
• Installs fixtures in commercial, institutional and public buildings
• Shadows a Foreman/Superintendent to continue understanding and learning the trade
• Manages and leads assigned Apprentices
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment
• Has a good understanding on how to operate the tools in a safe and efficient manner
• Reports to the jobsite Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm and additional hours as necessary
• Maintains constant communication with the Apprentice, Foreman and Superintendent

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Requirements:
• 5 years' experience preferred
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must have a current Texas Journeyman's license
• Must have specific knowledge of commercial, light industrial and high-rise plumbing systems
• Must be a good communicator, verbal and written
• Must be self-motivated
• Must have knowledge of plumbing and natural gas systems
• Meet the E-verify and drug free workplace standards
• Able to work in fast pace environments and accomplish tasks in timely manner
• Capable of running a 3- man crew
