The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Director of Bars to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. This senior leadership role is responsible for the strategic oversight, operational excellence, and financial performance of multiple bar outlets within our property. The Director of Bars will drive innovation in beverage programs, ensure unparalleled guest service, and maximize revenue opportunities. The Director of Bars will lead, mentor, and develop a team of three Bar Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional hospitality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Championing a guest-centric approach to ensure all bar operations deliver exceptional service and memorable experiences.
  • Leading the development, implementation, and continuous evolution of innovative and profitable beverage programs, including cocktail menus, wine lists, beer selections, and non-alcoholic offerings.
  • Achieving and exceeding revenue targets, managing budgets, and controlling costs.
  • Implementing promotional activities and events to drive sales and enhance guest engagement.
  • Analyzing sales data, inventory reports, and financial statements to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Staying abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and guest preferences to ensure our beverage programs remain fresh, relevant, and competitive.
  • Addressing guest feedback, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively, turning potential issues into opportunities for positive engagement.
  • Providing strong leadership and strategic direction to the leadership teams and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
  • Overseeing the daily operations of all bar outlets, ensuring consistent adherence to brand standards, operational procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of bar and beverage experience.
  • Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing.

Posted salary range: up to USD $105,000.00/yr. Tipped position.
