Description:

Scope of Services

  • Conduct comprehensive initial and periodic KYC reviews of trading counterparties, brokers, physical suppliers, shipping agents, and vessels involved in energy and commodities transactions.
  • Verify and validate counterparty banking details, including ABA routing numbers, SWIFT/BIC codes, and beneficiary account information to mitigate payment and sanctions risks.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for inbound and outbound KYC requests, including completion of external due diligence questionnaires and coordination with counterpart compliance teams.
  • Manage and maintain vendor and broker records within the company's systems, ensuring timely completion of annual and event-driven reviews in accordance with corporate policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply robust data quality controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across counterparty databases; escalate discrepancies or red flags to Compliance.
  • Support Front Office, Operations, Credit, and Legal teams with timely KYC data and due diligence documentation for new and existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across regions and business lines to ensure adherence to corporate KYC and sanctions screening standards.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, audit trails, and version control for all KYC and data verification activities.
  • Periodically review and update the company's KYC policies, procedures, and manuals to align with evolving regulatory frameworks (e.g., OFAC, EU, OFSI, BIS) and industry best practices.
  • Provide internal KYC training sessions and share compliance updates to enhance organizational awareness and control effectiveness.
  • Monitor, track, and report emerging KYC risks, key issues, and completed workstreams to Compliance Management.
  • Perform additional KYC and compliance-related services or special projects as assigned by the Company
