Position Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and troubleshooting of sensor networks, HMI systems, and electrical components on automated production lines. This role focuses on ensuring system reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining stable production operations, with a strong emphasis on field devices and operator interface systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair issues related to industrial sensors including photoelectric, proximity, pressure, temperature, and flow sensors, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and signal integrity
  • Troubleshoot wiring systems, connectors, and I/O signals within 24VDC control systems, and replace or configure field devices with minimal disruption to production
  • Support HMI systems by resolving alarms, communication errors, and display issues, and assist operators in identifying faults through diagnostics and alarm history
  • Perform electrical maintenance and repair on control panels, circuits, relays, and power distribution systems, including 24VDC, 120VAC, and 480VAC systems
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts to support troubleshooting and repairs
  • Respond quickly to production line stoppages, perform structured fault isolation, and support critical production runs and equipment startup
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks focused on sensors, wiring, and control panels to ensure equipment reliability and safety
  • Support basic PLC troubleshooting including I/O checks and fault monitoring, and assist engineering teams with diagnostics when needed
  • Follow all electrical safety procedures including LOTO, arc flash protection, and PPE requirements, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, failures, and corrective actions, and communicate effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams

Requirements

Education

Technical diploma or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is preferred

Professional Experience

2 to 5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance or automated production environments

Skills

Strong hands-on experience with industrial sensors and field devices

Ability to troubleshoot 24VDC control circuits and I/O systems

Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

Familiarity with HMI systems and operator interface diagnostics

Basic knowledge of PLC systems such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens is a plus

Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP or Profinet is preferred

Familiarity with VFDs, motors, and automation systems is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

NFPA 70E Electrical Safety certification

NCCER Electrical or similar industrial certification
