Lead Welder / Shop Lead Location: Houston, Tx 77032 Pay Rate: $25 - 32/hr. DOE
Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision: Oversee daily operations of the shop floor, assigning tasks to fitters, welders, and shop helpers.
Workflow Coordination: Manage production schedules to ensure custom screw conveyors and augers are moving through the fabrication stages (cutting, welding, assembly, and testing) efficiently.
Quality Control (QC): Perform inspections on finished parts and assemblies against engineering blueprints and client specifications. Company is an ISO 9001 and ISO 3834 certified company, so maintaining high quality standards is paramount.
Technical Guidance: Assist the team with technical troubleshooting, including interpreting complex shop drawings and resolving fabrication issues.
Safety Leadership: Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols, ensuring all team members are using PPE and operating heavy machinery (overhead cranes, forklifts, welding stations) safely.
Inventory & Logistics: Coordinate with the "Fabrication Shop Helpers" and logistics team to track material flow, manage stock areas, and ensure parts are ready for packaging and shipping.

Work Environment
Location: Houston, TX (near IAH Airport).
Conditions: A fast-paced industrial shop environment. Must be comfortable with physical demands, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
