THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a high-impact Production Planner / Materials Planning Leader who thrives on driving efficiency, precision, and execution. In this role, you will be at the center of our operations-owning the planning process that keeps production running smoothly and customers satisfied.

Reporting to the Plant Director, you will lead the development and execution of the master production schedule, ensuring materials, resources, and timelines are aligned to meet customer demand. This is a critical role for someone who enjoys solving complex scheduling challenges, optimizing inventory, and building strong cross-functional partnerships.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop and manage the master production schedule, aligning with customer demand and operational capacity
  • Coordinate and support detailed schedules across winding, order preparation, and pultrusion processes
  • Oversee material flow from inbound receipt to outbound shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Partner with Corporate Purchasing on sourcing strategies and supplier coordination
  • Manage local procurement, inventory levels, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes
  • Lead shipping and logistics operations, including import/export and customs compliance
  • Optimize and continuously improve MRP/ERP system utilization (Epicor)
  • Track and report on key metrics related to materials, inventory, and shipments
  • Support cross-functional initiatives including R&D and process improvements
  • Foster a team-oriented, safety-first culture within the facility
  • Promote organization, cleanliness, and operational discipline across the plant
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support business objectives

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or materials management
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on planning responsibility
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred)
  • Experience managing raw materials, inventory control, and supplier coordination
  • Solid understanding of scheduling, procurement, and logistics operations
  • Leadership or team coordination experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data-driven decision making
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S principles
