The Materials Handler is responsible for moving materials from machines at workstation as part of production process. Issue and transfer parts for production. Assist Production Planner and assembly stores whenever required. Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
Experience and Skills
Minimum 2 years of materials management experience required.
SAP experience is required.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills required. Ideal candidate is self-directed and proactive.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Forklift experience is a plus, but not required. (Training will be provided.)
Length of Assignment
6 months.
Potential for extension or conversion to full-time.
Work Environment
80% warehouse/shop, 20% desk.
Not climate-controlled.
Fast-paced and dynamic.
Training
NEST in Houston.
Shift/Hours
Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 16:30.
Occasional weekend work may be required.
