Brief Description

Core Lifting of Houston is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to grow and manage customer relationships across the Houston area and surrounding markets. This role is responsible for developing new business while supporting and expanding existing accounts — serving as a trusted resource for customers operating in demanding industrial environments who need lifting, rigging, and below-the-hook equipment and related solutions. The ideal candidate is personable, technically curious, and committed to delivering real value to the customers they serve.


Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships through regular field visits, site calls, and proactive outreach
  • Sell Core Lifting's full product line including rigging hardware, wire rope, below-the-hook lifting devices, specialty lifting products, and jib and overhead crane solutions
  • Conduct site visits and customer meetings at industrial facilities to assess needs, identify opportunities, and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Prepare and present professional quotes and proposals in coordination with the inside sales team
  • Maintain consistent follow-up on active opportunities and leads
  • Partner with inside sales to ensure seamless order execution and a positive customer experience
  • Track activity, contacts, and pipeline using internal systems
  • Stay current on industry standards, competitive landscape, and product developments
  • Represent Core Lifting professionally at customer sites, job sites, and industry events
  • Other duties as assigned


Education

A high school diploma or GED is required. Directly related industrial sales experience is valued above formal education credentials. Technical school, industry certifications, or military experience is a plus.


Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of outside sales experience in an industrial, distribution, or technical sales environment
  • Experience in rigging, lifting, or below-the-hook equipment is preferred
  • Candidates with a strong industrial sales background will be highly considered regardless of specific product experience
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following markets is a significant plus: oil & gas, petrochemical, offshore, construction, marine, manufacturing, shipyard, or crane operations
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective customer relationships
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage responsibilities independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both field personnel and management-level contacts
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand technical product applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Must successfully complete a background check and drug screen


Travel

This role is approximately 70% field-based. Reliable personal transportation required.
