Overview

System One LLC is seeking an experienced Engineering & Design Manager to lead project execution and oversee the delivery of high-quality engineering and design work for industrial clients.

This role is responsible for ensuring that all deliverables are accurate, constructible, and ready for execution in the field. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of industrial project environments and a proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and implement scalable processes.

If you have experience in refineries, chemical plants, or large industrial facilities and understand how projects are executed from design through construction, this role will align well with your background.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead execution of engineering and design projects from initiation through completion
• Ensure all deliverables are accurate, constructible, and aligned with field conditions
• Deliver projects on schedule and within budget
• Manage and develop a team of engineers, designers, and drafters
• Establish and enforce project workflows, QA/QC processes, and engineering standards
• Monitor and improve performance metrics including schedule, budget, utilization, and quality
• Collaborate with leadership on hiring, staffing, and team development
• Develop and review project scopes, estimates, and deliverables to ensure alignment with client expectations

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering and project management experience (industrial experience preferred)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering and design teams
• Strong execution skills with a track record of delivering results
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively
• Experience supporting project delivery in refinery, chemical, or industrial environments
• Strong decision-making, communication, and organizational skills
