Duties and Responsibilities

• Expedite orders to ensure timely delivery of components and materials to meet project schedules

• Review PO files on a regular basis, ensuring each file is reviewed at least once every two weeks (more frequently for critical or short-lead items)

• Ensure suppliers are fulfilling purchase order terms and conditions, and take corrective action when deviations occur

• Obtain weekly status updates from vendors on critical items

• Document all vendor communications via email or formal meeting minutes

• In collaboration with the Material Coordinator, monitor material receipts from project locations and document per defined processes

• Communicate all critical updates or changes in status between suppliers, Buyers, and Material Coordinators in a timely manner

• Maintain strong relationships and continuous communication with internal business partners and external vendors

• Coordinate early planning meetings with suppliers for critical equipment to establish expediting expectations after PO award

• Identify potential quality or delivery risks early and escalate to the Buyer and Project Team

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date Material Status Reports to ensure visibility for the Project Team at all times

• Track and report shipping schedule slippage and other critical updates

• Coordinate third-party inspections when required

• Coordinate shipping and logistics activities as needed

Qualifications

• Strong willingness and ability to learn commercial and technical aspects of project materials and equipment

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Collaborative mindset with ability to work across internal teams and external vendors

• Understanding of material and equipment manufacturing processes

• Strong attention to maintaining accurate Material Status Reports and system data integrity

Education & Experience

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Expeditor within the oil and gas industry

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
