Octane is building agentic AI for the boring businesses.

We work on operational workflows that keep real businesses moving ... small, repeated decisions across messy systems, incomplete inputs, and constant edge cases. A lot of this work still runs on follow-ups and manual effort. We're building systems that can take it on and carry it through end to end.

We're in stealth (so, more specifics during interviews), already running in a few places, well-funded with strong runway, and building a small team in Houston.

Role Description:

This is a founding GTM role with real ownership.

You'll be responsible for turning early traction into real growth; working closely with our champions, pushing pilots forward, and converting them into something repeatable. The job is to understand how customers operate, show clear value, and move fast from conversation to pilot to rollout. You'll be selling a technical product to mostly non-technical operators. What matters is clarity, trust, and bottom-line impact.

What you will do:

  • Drive early customer conversations, demos, and deals end to end
  • Work closely with internal champions to push adoption and expansion
  • Turn pilots into real deployments and repeatable motion
  • Explain the product in simple terms that tie directly to business outcomes
  • Identify where the product is landing well and where it needs work
  • Help shape messaging, pricing, and GTM approach

Qualifications

  • You've sold or helped sell real products before... ideally in an early-stage or technical B2B setting.
  • You're comfortable running full-cycle sales and figuring things out as you go. You know how to talk to operators, understand how they actually run their business, and connect that to clear value.
  • You can handle a technical product without over-explaining it. You focus on outcomes, not features.
  • You're clear, direct, and practical in how you communicate.
  • Startup experience is a big plus. Experience selling into operational teams or real-world environments is even better.

Other details:

  • Location: In-person in Houston, TX (or travel to clients as and when required)

  • Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000 Cash + bonus + meaningful equity

  • Start date: Tomorrow
