ITC is a rapidly growing and evolving family-owned and operated business and we need you to join our growing family and client list!Title:AV Technician - Temporary/SeasonalDepartment:OperationsReports To:Program Manager or Lead AV TechnicianPosition Purpose And ObjectivesThis temporary/seasonal position is responsible and accountable for installing the electronic, hardware, and wiring components of audio-visual systems according to company standards. This position reports to a Project Manager or Lead AV Technician and is a member of the Operations team supporting the mission and goals of a "Best in Class" sales and AV integration program. As an operational member of a dynamic installation operation, the AV Technician will receive, inventory, assemble and install AV equipment on job site locations to comply with the company's policies and procedures, including quality, safety, environmental, and business practices.This is a temporary/seasonal position and dates are negotiable through mutual consent based on personal, academic and operational schedules. Seasonal positions typically run from March through September, though dates may vary depending on operational needs.This is a travel position and there is extensive travel involved to job sites across the country.Essential Job Functions, Duties And ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for performing the process of receiving, inventorying, assembling and installing AV equipment on job site locations. This position requires a variety of duties including construction labor as well as electrical and electronic installation and repair but not limited to:Moving and/or repositioning large equipment or wiring supplies. Individuals must be able to lift and carry heavy objects of 50 lbs. assisted and to steady objects above shoulder height while fastened into place by co-workers.Installing and terminating cables with the appropriate solder or compression connectorDrilling in drywall, concrete, and cinderblock for the purpose of running wires, installing projectors, projection screens, cameras, and speaker systemsInstalling electronic and electrical components into equipment racks and other locations per wiring diagrams or verbal instructionsSanding, painting and other light construction jobsCleaning up job sites and breaking down boxesOrganizing and storing materialsWorking in confined spacesWorking on ladders and lifts at heights in excess of 10ftPerforming other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills And Abilities RequiredPrior construction or AV experience preferredAbility to travel on regular/constant basis and often on short notice with long/unusual work hoursSuccessfully complete criminal background check, motor vehicle review and physical/drug test prior to startStrong communication skills and experience working on teamsComputer proficiency and familiarity with standard office productivity software including Google, Microsoft Word and ExcelExperience and comfort with hand tools and small power toolsAbility to learn new tasks quicklyAbility to make important decisions under tight timelines and in a fast-paced environmentProblem-solving and time management skillsFriendly and approachableValid driver's license with less than two citations in last two years and reliable transportationComplete safety and compliance trainingWorking ConditionsWork can be in normal comfortable air-conditioned environments, but will also include less comfortable cold or hot construction environments and on rare occasion, tasks require work outdoors or in a suspension rig.Success FactorsThe personal characteristics that make an individual successful in this industry include:A professional attitude focusing on team success with a high degree of attention to detailsAn understanding that every installation is the most important and a strong installation program is key to that successWorks well with others, including taking direction and offering/receiving constructive feedbackA professional and respectful attitude in dealing with others and adjusting to varied job assignments and tasksAn aptitude toward time and resource managementA desire to progress in job knowledge and qualifications and take on new responsibilitiesA desire to help others accomplish tasks and achieve goalsReporting to job locations on time and in appropriate work attire/PPEJob Offer Consists Of a Competitive Salary And IncludesGenerous daily per diem while traveling to cover meals and non-reimbursable incidentalsIn-house travel team to make all work-related travel arrangements including air flights, ground transportation and lodging all paid through company accountsTool kit, uniform shirt and all required PPEJob Type:Full-time/SeasonalPay:$19.00 - $22.00 per hourJob Location:Job sites will vary and requires up to 25 days per month travel across the countryThe Pay Range For This Role Is19 - 22 USD per hour(Atlanta, GA)19 - 22 USD per hour(Houston, TX)#J-18808-Ljbffr
