Description:

JOB SUMMARY: The Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting shipping and warehouse operations by safely operating forklifts, organizing materials, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. This role involves staging, sorting, and loading materials while maintaining safety, efficiency, and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Read and interpret shipping schedules to stage and organize materials accurately • Sort materials by size, customer, and specifications for proper shipping • Stage wrapped products for shipment • Conduct pre-shift forklift inspections to ensure safety and compliance • Operate forklifts safely in accordance with all regulations • Fuel forklifts as required • Pull production wrap lines and consolidate orders for shipment • Accurately receive incoming items and ship outgoing products • Pick materials from warehouse based on work orders with strong attention to detail • Replace pallets/runners to maintain a safe working environment • Understand shipping documents to determine space and handling requirements • Assist in directing warehouse staff to support efficient loading and unloading • Maintain a clean and safe work environment • Work extended hours and overtime as required, including weekends • Perform additional duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) • Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and work orders • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to lift and move materials as required • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations • Forklift certification Education: High School
