Title: Operations Supervisor

Location: North Houston, Texas (Onsite and close to the Sam Houston Race Track)

Duration: Permanent Hire

Compensation: $100,000 to $150,000

Skillset / Experience: Daily trucking and logistics operations, Management, Compliance and Assist in pricing rates and cost drivers

Operations Supervisor

The Operations Supervisor will oversee daily trucking and logistics operations, including dispatch, freight coordination, compliance, and team support. This is a hands-on role with a clear path to grow into an Operations Manager position.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily dispatch, routing, and load execution for domestic trucking, including heavy haul and specialized freight

Coordinate international shipments (imports/exports) and manage communication with carriers, brokers, and partners

Monitor KPIs (on-time delivery, utilization, cost per load) and address service issues in real time

Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and Hours of Service (HOS) regulations

Lead and support dispatchers and logistics coordinators, including training and performance feedback

Assist with pricing, quoting, and rate development while maintaining margin awareness

Maintain communication with customers to ensure service expectations are met

Utilize TMS systems (Magaya preferred) for dispatch, tracking, and reporting

Ensure accurate documentation and support process improvements and SOPs

Requirements

3-7 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or trucking operations

Experience with heavy haul, oversize, or specialized freight preferred

Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and HOS regulations

Experience with international logistics and freight forwarding

Prior experience leading or mentoring team members

Understanding of pricing, rate structures, and cost drivers

Experience with TMS systems (Magaya preferred)

Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
