Job Title Position Overview: Plans the daily/weekly work schedule of drivers to maximize freight coverage in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Communicate and distribute appointment dates/time to IMC drivers; owner operators and/or fleet. Communicate and coordinate between all IMC locations to maximize drivers' time. Assist drivers with any equipment issues, detention time, rail billing, and any additional requests made of driver.Essential Functions Must exercise discretion and use independent judgment when relating customer requests, appointment time and assigning orders to specific drivers daily to run road, local or citySend drivers their dispatches and any necessary messages through their tabletHandle driver service failures up to and including the authority to issue verbal and/or written discipline. Additionally, contact Manager/Cargo Specialist regarding the failureApply any additional charges including and notify customer service of changesTrack/Maintain GIS yard report, MDR, CNI, and Divisional PoolActively participate in driver recruiting and retentionMonitor XRS System to assist drivers to manage their timeRequest rail billingReview preliminary payrollOther duties as assignedSkills/Knowledge Desired Data entry skills; Good communication and organizational skillsDOT Regulations; Hazardous Materials; Computer literate; Ability to multi-taskImport/Export container experience
