Responsibilities

• Assist in daily trading execution and administrative tasks under the VP of Trading & Risk
• Analyze market performance and develop fundamentals-based price forecasts for ERCOT & ISO-NE
• Gather and analyze market data to optimize battery energy storage system (BESS) trading strategies
• Deliver training on trading procedures and ensure compliance with operational protocols
• Track and assess market rule changes in ERCOT and ISO-NE to evaluate their impact on trading strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the energy sector, with a preference for power settlement experience, especially in ERCOT and ISO-NE
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to draw conclusions from complex datasets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across diverse teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python, SQL, and PowerBI
• Familiarity with battery energy storage systems (BESS)
