Primary Project Location: Houston, Texas

Travel: Required as needed for project support

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation Target- $100-135K Annual

Role Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site construction operations for a church construction project based in Houston, Texas. This role serves as the senior field authority and is responsible for safety, scheduling, quality control, and subcontractor coordination from mobilization through project completion. Limited travel may be required to support additional projects or company needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all jobsite field operations and daily construction activities
  • Supervise and mentor superintendents, assistant superintendents, and field personnel
  • Execute master schedules and phased work plans to support active church operations
  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards
  • Oversee construction of worship and assembly spaces, including A/V, acoustics, and baptistries
  • Enforce OSHA standards, safety programs, and code compliance
  • Support labor productivity, cost control, and change management efforts
  • Serve as the primary on-site liaison with pastors, building committees, inspectors, and design teams
  • Lead punch list completion, inspections, commissioning, and final turnover

Qualifications Required

  • 812+ years of commercial or institutional construction experience
  • Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Superintendent
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, and schedules
  • Ability to manage multiple trades and complex site logistics
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Houston and travel as needed

Preferred

  • Church, worship, or faith-based construction experience
  • Experience with large assembly or acoustically sensitive spaces
  • OSHA 30 certification
