Workday Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Workday Analyst to serve as a technical and functional expert across our Workday ecosystem. This role is unique in its breadth, requiring a professional who can navigate the complexities of both HCM and Financial Management (FINS) modules.

You will be the architect behind our business processes, the gatekeeper of our data security, and the storyteller for our organizational data. If you thrive on optimizing workflows and translating complex business requirements into elegant Workday solutions, you'll fit right in.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Configuration & Optimization

  • Lead the end-to-end configuration of Workday HCM (Core HR, Benefits, Compensation) and Financials (General Ledger, Business Assets, Expenses, Accounts Payable).
  • Design, build, and test complex Business Processes (BPs) to streamline operations and ensure data integrity.
  • Manage the semi-annual Workday release cycle, identifying new features that drive value and conducting thorough regression testing.

  1. Advanced Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain custom reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Search) to support executive decision-making.
  • Utilize Calculated Fields to solve complex data requirements.
  • Build and manage Workday Dashboards to provide real-time visibility into KPIs for HR and Finance leadership.

  1. Security Administration

  • Manage the Workday Security model, including the creation and maintenance of security groups (Role-Based, User-Based, Segment-Based).
  • Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
  • Oversee domain and business process security policy changes.

  1. Support & Collaboration

  • Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for functional issues, troubleshooting "bugs" and providing root-cause analysis.
  • Partner with stakeholders in HR, Accounting, and IT to gather requirements for system enhancements.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on Workday configuration experience.
  • Module Expertise: Proven proficiency in both Workday HCM and Workday Financials
  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of Workday's security framework and advanced reporting tools (Calc Fields are a must).
  • Problem Solving: Ability to translate "business speak" into technical configuration without losing sight of the user experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Workday Certification (past or present) in HCM or Financials.
  • Experience with Workday Prism Analytics or Adaptive Planning
  • Prior experience in a multi-entity or global environment.
