Description:

A leading company in the industrial distribution industry is seeking an Office Manager to support day-to-day administrative, client relations and human resources functions. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-driven professional with strong process management and people development skills. Working collaboratively, the new hire will maintain operational consistency by managing client communication, invoicing, reporting, and team culture development, ensuring smooth coordination across the organization.

Location: Houston, TX

Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support across accounting, HR, marketing, compliance, reporting, and EOS.
  • Support current and future staffing needs through attending university career fairs and establishing connections with emerging professionals.
  • Ensure the business runs clean, organized, and aligned.
  • Directly impact cash flow, team execution, sales visibility, compliance, culture, brand presence, leadership effectiveness.
  • Connect the dots between departments and protect the operational integrity of the business.
  • Drive the culture of the organization through building meaningful relationships and identifying individual growth potential within the team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar office management role, handling recruiting, people development, administrative and reporting tasks
  • Basic knowledge of financial workflow management, including invoicing and reporting
  • Experience supporting or leading recruiting efforts and contributing to a positive, high-performing team environment
  • Passion for enhancing the employee experience, supporting both leadership and frontline team members
  • Process-driven mindset with a focus on improving systems — not just maintaining them
  • High accountability, ownership mentality, and integrity in decision-making
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to move quickly without sacrificing accuracy
  • Resourceful, execution-focused, and comfortable in a growth-oriented industrial environment
  • Clear, proactive communicator who collaborates effectively across departments
  • Team-first mindset with humility and professionalism
