Job Title: Tool Room Attendant
Job Description
As a Tool Room Attendant, you will perform routine maintenance, repair, and calibration of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and measuring instruments. You will assist with tool fabrication and modificationsunder supervision, read and interpret basic technical drawings and blueprints, and maintain proper storage and organization of tooling and equipment. You will also be responsible for tracking and recording tool usage, repairs, and calibration activities, following preventive maintenance schedules, and reporting tool issues. Supporting production teams by ensuring tools are available when needed and adhering to OSHA, company safety standards, and 5S practices are also key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance, repair, and calibration of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and measuring instruments.
Assist with tool fabrication and modifications under supervision.
Read and interpret basic technical drawings and blueprints.
Maintain proper storage and organization of tooling and equipment.
Track and record tool usage, repairs, and calibration activities.
Follow preventive maintenance schedules and report tool issues.
Support production teams by ensuring tools are available when needed.
Adhere to OSHA, company safety standards, and 5S practices.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
MUST HAVE Skills
Previous Tool room experience
5 years of inventory experience
3-5 years of warehouse/material handler experience
Proficiency in inventory control and management
Ability to accurately input inventory data into warehouse management systems (WMS)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to inspect materials and products for quality and compliance
Experience in following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
Experience in working closely with production teams, inventory control, and purchasing
Capability to identify and suggest improvements to warehouse operations
Skills in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
