Project Manager

(Houston, TX)

A global chemical company is looking for a project manager based in the Houston, TX.

Please note the key requirements:

• At least 5 years working in and around chemical/petrochem, etc, plants
• Significant experience managing projects in plants all the way through
• Engineering degree

Ideal candidate has managed all aspects multiple jobs at multiple facilities from design to completion from a technical and budgetary standpoint.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Responsibilities

• Scoping/design of projects (including conceptual, engineering, etc)
• Budget design and tracking
• Management of internal personnel and subcontractors to successful completion
• Final reporting
• Extensive work with TAR manager/s and major maintenance programs - site and corporate
• Extensive work with site and central/corp safety personnel and programs throughout work
• Effectively managed projects remotely as sites are all over the country
• In many cases serve as backup for site personnel to manage
• Able to be technically competent with plant personnel and other managers.

Required/preferred

• 4 year engineering degree
• Minimally a total of 5 years in engineering, projects, turnarounds, etc, in active chemical/petrochem, etc, operations
• PMP desired
• Demonstrated experience with completion of multiple and concurrent projects up to about $2M.
• Does not have or require now, nor will require in the future, any visa to legally work in the U.S.
