Title: Technology Quality Technician
Pay rate: $24 - $26/hr, depending on experience
Location: 6401 W Sam Houston, Houston
Candidates must be local to the Houston area

Job Code: 82510014 The Technology Quality Technician is responsiblefor conducting quality control activities, including inspections, tests and results reporting. The Technology Quality Technician combines practical skills with understanding of the overall Quality Management System and the impact of nonconformances on the performance of equipment and systems. * Inspect documentation, parts, components, materials, subassemblies and equipment against stated specifications, using measurement systems with valid calibration and acceptable repeatability and reproducibility. Comply with applicable inspection procedures and standard work. * Perform manufacturing and engineering tests in compliance with applicable procedures and standard work. * Assist in designing tests and fixtures and their set-up. * Ensure all inspection and test activities are conducted safely. Participate in creation and review of Hazard Analysis and Risk Control for these activities. * When authorized, perform calibration of measurement systems. * Be familiar with inspection and test procedures, standard work and test plans, and provide input to continuously improve them. * Document the results of inspections and tests. Verify the stability of results over time, as feasible. * Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Preferred experience in quality inspection.
* Basic computer proficiency required to support inspection documentation and reporting.
o Microsoft Office Suite
o SAP
* Mechanical lifting experience is preferred to support handling of components and assemblies.
* Past experience in reading and interpreting mechanical design drawings is preferred.
* Strong attention to detail required.
Education
• Minimum High School Diploma or Technical Secondary School
Required Years of Experience
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
Training
• Initial training conducted on 1st shift (4am-2:30pm) for 4 - 6 weeks
Primary Shift (post-training):
o 2nd shift (M-TH 2:30pm-12:30am)
Physical Demands
• Frequent handling of mechanical components (pipes)
• Use of mechanical lifting aids regularly
• Multiple lifts per shift
• No unassisted lifting over 50lbs
Safety
• All required PPE will be provided
