New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a Welder/Mechanic for a client located in Conroe, TX to join our team.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Pay: $24 to $26/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday through Friday,40 hours/week

Summary:
The Welder/Mechanic is responsible for expert welding and mechanical installations, interpreting construction drawings, and ensuring high-quality workmanship across various piping and mechanical systems. This role supports field operations and collaborates with internal teams to meet project goals.

Responsibilities:

• Weld small, medium, and large bore pipe of various metals and alloys
• Solder and braze copper pipe
• Perform complex mechanical installations per engineering direction
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Lay out and install piping, equipment, and mechanical systems
• Update construction drawings with as-built status
• Coordinate with Production Manager to order tools, equipment, and materials
• Collaborate with other crews and lead personnel
• Maintain responsibility for tools and equipment assigned to the group

• High School Diploma or equivalent (vocational school, military training, or apprenticeship program preferred)
• 5-10 years of experience in two or more skilled trades
• Current welding certifications (recently expired certifications may be acceptable with requalification)
• OSHA 10-hour safety certification is a plus
• Intermediate computer skills; familiarity with office software
• Strong English communication skills
• Typing speed of 40 WPM or higher is a plus
