2025-2026 Summer Warehouse / Textook Summer Helpers @ Warehouse Department

Primary Purpose:

Assist in receiving, marking, storing, and delivering books, supplies, materials, and equipment; fill orders and perform routine housekeeping chores as directed.

Requirements:

Must be able to frequently lift 75 lbs, climb ladders and stairs, stoop, stand, and walk for long periods; must be able to work in a non-air conditioned environment and tolerate exposure to the elements; must be at least 16 years old as of June 5, 2024

Hourly Pay Rate:

The summer hourly rates for student workers are:

High School Student/Diploma: $15.00

High School Student/Diploma: $12.00

College Student (completed 24 hrs): $13.50

Degreed/Adult (21+): $15.00

Length of Assignment:

Start 6/1/26 End 8/7/26

Duties:

• Fill orders and perform routine housekeeping chores as directed.
• Maintain inventory in the assigned area.
• File requisitions accurately, quickly, and in the prescribed order.
• Make deliveries to district locations as required.
• Make deliveries to support district functions as required.
• Lifting: Heavy lifting and carrying on a daily basis. (Lifting a minimum of 75 pounds frequently.)
• Environment: Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures (30 F 105 F), dust, toxic chemicals and materials, noise, and vibration; work around moving objects or vehicles; may work alone; occasional prolonged or irregular hours
