Harris County Precinct 4 is seeking a temporary Front Desk Receptionist for the Dairy Ashford Office Location. The Front Desk Receptionist will join the Administrative Team and serve as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff, providing excellent customer service while managing front desk operations, answering and directing phone calls, greeting guests, and supporting daily administrative functions. We are looking for someone who brings heart, hustle, and higher standards to their work and takes pride in creating a welcoming and professional environment for everyone who interacts with our office.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate.
- Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and vendors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
- Provide basic information about Precinct 4, services, and directions.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation.
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and prepare meeting spaces when needed for the Preston and Fannin office locations.
- Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary.
- Support the Administration team with clerical tasks as assigned.
- Will provide support to other offices/locations as needed.

Education & Experience: - High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency, and two (2) years of office and administrative support experience, OR
- Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
Licensure: - Must have a valid Texas driver's license and maintain a good driving record
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Time management and attention to detail
- Problem-solving abilities
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and exhibit a willingness to accept direction.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work at multiple locations or any department or location as needed.
