Job Summary
Plans, implements, communicates, supervises and evaluates all aspects of protective services and security operations of the Memorial Hermann Health System with an emphasis on workplace violence prevention. Position manages the system-wide Security Department finances while planning, developing, training, implementing and guiding goals and objectives. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and complies with Memorial Hermann Risk Management protocols.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Health Care Administration or related field is required to provide the depth of knowledge necessary to lead and direct a very large healthcare system security department. Master's degree related to one of the above disciplines is preferred
Licenses/Certifications: Certification by the American Society for Industrial Security as Certified Protection Professional (CPP)or certification by the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety as Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA).
