Location: Village of the Heights, an assisted living with memory care senior living community

Shifts available:

Full Time:

  • 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. AL
  • 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. AL/MC

Part Time:

  • 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. AL/MC

Must be available to work weekends and holidays

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining, while encouraging as much independence as possible.
  • Serve meals in the dining room or residents' apartments, assist in meal preparation, and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Initiate and participate in leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and build friendships.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, documenting leisure activities, incidents, observations, and any changes in residents' conditions.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, performing general housekeeping duties.
  • Follow proper procedures in emergencies and respond quickly to resident requests, including emergency call pendants and telephone calls.
  • Know each resident's location, remind them to sign out when leaving, and promptly report if a resident cannot be located.
  • Foster a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with co-workers.
  • Attend all required in-service training sessions.
  • Be an active member of the community's emergency response team.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene in accordance with company policies.

Minimum requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
