At The Greenleigh, we are seeking a Banquet Chef to leadthe planning, preparation, and execution of banquet culinary operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation, and service for meetings, weddings, and special events.

This role works closely with the Executive Chef, culinary team, and banquet leadership to deliver seamless event execution while maintaining the highest culinary and operational standards.

Requested Tasks

  • Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities for the banquet kitchen
  • Review banquet event orders (BEOs) daily to ensure proper preparation and execution
  • Partner with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Banquet Captain to coordinate event planning and service
  • Modify or develop menus that meet quality standards and event requirements
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure necessary ingredients and supplies are available
  • Monitor food and labor costs to maintain operational efficiency
  • Recruit, train, and manage banquet culinary team members
  • Conduct final quality checks on plated dishes to ensure presentation and consistency
  • Ensure strict adherence to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Review staffing levels to ensure operational needs and guest expectations are met

Requested Capabilities
  • Prior experience as a Chef required
  • Prior kitchen leadership or management experience required
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and food preparation techniques
  • Knowledge of current culinary trends and banquet service execution
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work with kitchen tools and equipment for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds related to kitchen inventory
  • Ability to taste and evaluate food quality and presentation
