Painter/Blaster
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $18.50/hour
Position Type: Contract to possibly full-time hire
Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM; Saturday as needed
Location: Conroe, TX 77303
Position Overview:
Integrity Trade Services is seeking a highly skilled Painter/Blaster for a reputable supplier of drilling products. This is an immediate opening in Conroe, TX, offering a dynamic work environment where safety, reliability, and craftsmanship are valued. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing and finishing heavy industrial components, ensuring high-quality standards are met to support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation & Painting: Use sandblasting, hand sanding, and taping to prepare equipment surfaces. Apply primer and two-part epoxy paint according to detailed specifications.
- Sandblasting Expertise: Demonstrate proven experience with sandblasting equipment, with your prior work experience clearly reflected on your resume.
- Material Handling: Safely move materials and equipment to staging and work areas using overhead cranes, with the ability to operate these cranes proficiently.
- Equipment Maintenance: Prepare and maintain painting tools and equipment, ensuring functionality and safety.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety and environmental policies. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently and report hazards or incidents immediately.
- Physical Demands: Work diligently on your feet for extended periods, including weekends, in a non-conditioned environment. Assist with plant housekeeping duties such as sweeping, trash disposal, and chemical storage.
- Cross-Training: Willingness to learn and assist in other production areas based on operational needs.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in blasting and industrial painting
- Proven proficiency in sandblasting and application of two-part epoxy paints (must be demonstrated on resume)
- Ability to operate an overhead crane safely
- Strong initiative, reliability, and dedication to supporting team objectives
- Valid certification to operate a forklift is preferred
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be able to pass screenings
