Fair Pay That Grows With You.
Starting salary ranges from $60,000 to $75,000, depending on location, education, and experience. You will also receive per diem for meals, mileage reimbursement, utilization bonuses, weekend bonuses, and more. Though our budgets may be limited, we prioritize trust, teamwork, and appreciation for you as an individual.

What You'll Do

Join our team that drives automation projects forward. At ProAutomated, we don't merely install systems; we partner with system integrators and manufacturers to ensure everything operates flawlessly when it counts.

  • Support data center startups by performing on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
  • Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems in industries like food and beverage.
  • Collaborate with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate their systems on-site.
  • Maintain clear communication and provide updates to customers and project teams to ensure smooth and accurate progress.
  • Expect varied travel rotations—5 on & 2 off, 10 on & 4 off, or 14 on & 7 off. Each project brings new challenges and locations.

Work with a diverse array of customers, gaining invaluable real-world experience with leading companies, all while being supported by the ProAutomated team.

What We're Looking For
  • A genuine passion for travel; be ready to be away from home on rotation (we handle logistics).
  • Preferred experience includes a working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking.
  • Adaptability and resilience; you thrive in changing environments and enjoy tackling challenges.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must reside within 50 miles of a major airport (relocation assistance available).
  • Personal vehicle required within 45 days of employment for local projects.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • A technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience (3+ years) in a related field such as electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
Physical Requirements

The following physical requirements are essential functions of the role:

  • Ability to walk long distances across expansive facilities or job sites as part of daily tasks.
  • Climb ladders, stairs, or work at heights.
  • Lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand, kneel, or reach for extended periods.
  • Work in diverse environments (construction sites, outdoors, hot/cold).
