Position Overview:

As an experienced plumbing design engineer at Henderson Engineers, you will apply your expertise across multiple high-growth sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. Collaborating closely with our sister company, Henderson Building Solutions, you will deliver an unparalleled client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calculations and designs for engineering systems with significant independence.
  • Create basic to advanced plumbing system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
  • Review shop drawings to ensure conformity with plans and specifications.
  • Research and evaluate systems or equipment, providing recommendations on feasibility.
  • Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners and customers to support business development.
  • Enthusiastically pursue continuous learning of industry software, including Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Manage project coordination activities such as scheduling, client meetings, and ensuring project quality.
  • Provide training and assistance to team members as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of engineering preferred (mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural) with 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of experience without a degree. PE license may account for 1 year of the required experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Completion of the FE exam, with LEED and/or WELL accreditation.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of engineering design, codes, and standards.
