We're hiring a Junior Chemist to join our R&D laboratory supporting the oil & gas and specialty chemicals industries. In this role, you'll assist with developing and testing new lubricant products, contribute to research initiatives, and generate high-quality data to support formulation improvements.

***Must have some lubricant laboratory testing experience to qualify!***

Location: Houston, TX

Schedule: M-F 9a-5p

Responsibilities

• Run lab tests on lubricants to support new product development.
• Measure and analyze properties like viscosity, flash point, Tensile, Density, Pour Point, and oxidation stability.
• Blend and prepare test samples for formulation projects.
• Record and interpret test results and share findings with the team.
• Work with senior chemists and other teams to improve or create new formulations.
• Help with writing reports and documenting research work.
• Follow all lab safety procedures and ASTM testing standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of lubricant laboratory testing experience in an academic, research, or industrial lab environment.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments such as viscometers, densometers, Four Ball, Pin & Vee Block, and related testing equipment.
• Familiarity with ASTM methods.
