The Dispatcher -Temporary Fence Rental will play a pivotal role in overseeing service technicians, drivers, yard, and shop personnel. Your responsibilities include meticulous review of paperwork, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering positive communication within the region. Collaborating with various departments, you'll address customer service issues and coordinate asset transfers. Your analytical skills will contribute to reporting on operational activities, while your focus on safety and employee development will maintain a positive work environment. With demonstrated experience in routing systems, exceptional customer service, and proficiency in dispatch procedures, you'll be instrumental in driving operational excellence and building strong team dynamics.

Requirements

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Direct oversight of installers, yard personnel, and shop personnel.

• Review of all paperwork including manifests, routing tickets for completion and accuracy.

• Monitor all service levels and deliveries to ensure the best efficiencies.

• Recommend measures to improve operational practices and quality of customer care.

• Work directly with other departments to ensure excellent/positive communication within the region.

• Work with various departments to resolve customer service & delivery issues.

• Work with Branch Managers at other branches to coordinate asset transfers.

• Maintain proper staffing levels to meet and exceed customer and branch needs.

• Analyze and report on operational activities, i.e., service levels, routing efficiency, labor & overtime, and fuel.

• Work with the Branch Manager to develop and implement standard practices and efficiency.

• Responsible for fleet DOT administration including record maintenance.

• Review and approve time prior to submitting for payroll processing.

• Review and approve time off request forms and schedule time off based on operational necessity.

• Administer the company's safety program at the branch while working with Safety & HR to coordinate training and other safety initiatives.

• Responsible for employee development & conducting periodic performance reviews.

• Create and maintain a positive, safe, and effective work environment.

• Operate a variety of company vehicles.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Demonstrated experience with multi-stop routing systems and proficiency in dispatch procedures.

• Minimum of 2 years in a customer service role, showcasing a proven track record of excellence.

• Exceptional attention to detail, efficiency, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in using GPS and other routing systems.

• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful with a strong work ethic.

• High level of composure and effective stress management abilities.

• Outstanding customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships.

• Proven ability in team building, fostering collaboration, and contributing to a positive work environment.

• Strong time management skills, enabling effective prioritization of tasks and responsibilities.

• Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.

• Possession of a valid Driver License.

• Competency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience managing budgets with a keen understanding of financial statements.

• Knowledge and experience in effectively managing company assets and inventory.

• OSHA 30 in Construction a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Utilize computer systems and communication devices extensively for dispatching and coordination tasks. This involves prolonged periods of sitting and focused use of visual interfaces.
  • Multi-Tasking: Juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing urgent matters, and adapting to changing circumstances in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Navigate high-stress situations with composure, making critical decisions under pressure to optimize construction logistics and maintain project timelines.
  • Be prepared to respond promptly to emergencies, coordinating resources and providing necessary support to resolve issues that may arise during construction operations.
  • Physical Mobility: While the role primarily involves desk work, occasional on-site visits may be required. This may include walking, standing, and navigating construction sites to assess real-time conditions.
  • Lift items weighing up to 30lbs from the floor to the head.
