New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a client located in Conroe, TX to join our team. This is a temporary opportunity.

Pay: $22 to $23 hourly

Summary:

The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for performing mechanical coupling and assembly operations in a production environment. This includes operating machinery, assembling generator components, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble generator groups and mechanical components according to work orders.
• Operate machines to connect and tighten metal couplings to pipes.
• Manually tighten couplings when machines malfunction.
• Perform visual inspections of engines, alternators, and other components before assembly.
• Record production data and maintain accurate documentation.
• Complete production identification cards for traceability.
• Notify supervisor of defective materials or parts to be returned to the warehouse.
• Use and maintain tools such as drills, jigs, mills, lathes, and fixtures.
• Follow OSHA, environmental, and quality standards at all times.
• Participate in training sessions as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Meet production deadlines and targets.
• Lift and move up to 75 lbs periodically and 50 lbs continuously during shifts.
• Support continuous improvement and risk reduction initiatives in quality and safety.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience in a production or assembly environment.
• Ability to read and follow technical work orders and instructions.
• Familiarity with hand tools and machine operation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy components and standing for extended periods.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to comply with all safety and quality regulations.
