Nature & Purpose of Position
To perform technical work as required with lights, sound, video and audio recording equipment for music concerts and recitals; setup/teardown of stage for concerts and recitals; stage managing concerts and recitals; assisting with equipment repairs and updates for the School of Music; enforcing performance hall rules.
Other Requirements for the Position
Qualifications:Weekend and Evening availability.
Stage or technical theatrical experience a plus.
Must have a basic understanding of music recitals and be able to read music.
Must be dependable and able to work a varied schedule.
Must have the ability to work independently within small and large teams.
Some heavy lifting may be required.
Assistants should be confident, friendly, and comfortable working with faculty and other students.
