Organization: Star of Texas – Uplift Hospice

Do you have a heart for people and a desire to bring warmth and comfort to those in need? As a Companion Volunteer, you'll visit patients in their homes or care facilities, offering conversation, laughter, and a caring presence. Sometimes the most meaningful moments come from simply being there.

Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly visits and companionship to patients.
• Read aloud, share stories, play cards, or simply offer a listening ear.
• Support the hospice team by helping patients feel seen and valued.
• Do arts and crafts, bingo and more!

Commitment: 4 hours monthly — flexible and can be broken up however needed.

Training: Full hospice volunteer orientation provided. No experience necessary — just a compassionate heart.
