Team Member

Team Members at Mico's Hot Chicken are versatile, high-energy individuals who support both the front and back of house. Whether you're greeting guests at the register or dropping fresh tenders in the fryer, your job is to help the team run smoothly and deliver a great guest experience. You'll rotate between stations, work efficiently, follow recipes and safety procedures, and contribute to a clean and positive environment. No matter where you're stationed, you bring hustle, pride, and teamwork every shift.

What You'll Do

1. Greet Guests & Take Orders

• Welcome every guest with a positive attitude and a helpful spirit
• Take orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
• Answer questions and make menu suggestions with confidence

2. Assemble & Serve Orders

• Prepare drinks, desserts, and dipping sauces for dine-in and to-go
• Bag up to-go orders neatly and hand them out quickly
• Run food to tables and assist with refires or extras as needed
• Execute all BOH tasks as trained-including building sandwiches and salads, breading and dropping chicken, assembling to go boxes and dine in plates, and ensuring accuracy and speed at every station

3. Cook & Prep

• Follow station recipes and food safety protocols precisely
• Monitor fryer stations, build stations, and portioning
• Prep sauces, sides, or ingredients as directed
• Keep your station clean and stocked before, during, and after service

4. Maintain Cleanliness & Restock

• Keep guest-facing areas, restrooms, and dining space clean throughout the shift
• Restock utensils, sauces, napkins, and to-go packaging
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas-sweep, wipe down, and sanitize as needed

5. Teamwork & Guest Hospitality

• Jump in wherever needed to help teammates
• Communicate clearly with expo, runners, and kitchen team
• Resolve small guest concerns or get a shift leader when needed
• Keep the energy up and the team focused during rushes

Mico's Hot Chicken first opened it's window in June, 2019 as a food truck. We have grown and transitioned from our truck into our first brick and mortar in the Heights! We hope you'll join us on our journey to make Mico's Hot Chicken one of the hottest experiences one can enjoy in Houston.
