About the Role CenterPoint Energy's IT Department is seeking an experienced and motivated IT Change Management Analyst to support the organization's ongoing agile transformation and IT modernization initiatives. This role is a unique blend of strategic organizational change management (OCM) and hands-on project delivery, driving adoption of new processes, tools, and behaviors across multiple teams and departments. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted partner to IT and business leaders, applying proven change management principles and agile methodologies to ensure smooth, sustainable change and measurable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and execute organizational change management strategies and plans for IT projects and initiatives.
Conduct and manage end-to-end OCM activities, including:
Stakeholder analysis and leadership alignment
Change impact assessment
Communication and engagement planning
Training needs analysis, development, and delivery
Change measurement and adoption tracking
Partner with project and program managers to integrate change management activities into project plans.
Collaborate with leadership and teams to embed agile principles into the organization's culture and daily operations.
Develop and deliver effective communication and training materials to support end-user adoption.
Monitor and report on change progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Promote a culture of agility, adaptability, and continuous improvement within IT.
Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining high standards of effectiveness and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Information Technology, Business Management, or related field.
2+ years of experience in IT-focused Change Management.
2+ years of experience supporting agile transformation or enterprise-level agile adoption.
Proven ability to manage and execute all phases of the change management process.
Hands-on experience with agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Lean.
Demonstrated success leading large-scale IT change initiatives within complex, matrixed organizations.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage priorities and timelines across multiple projects.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills-capable of influencing at all organizational levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a related discipline.
Professional certifications such as:
PROSCI Change Management Certification
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Coach, or Product Owner
PMI-ACP or PMP
ADDIE/SAM training design certification
Experience developing and delivering training in support of organizational change initiatives.
