Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Compensation: $180k-$200k DOE + 401k, Health Insurance, Vacation, PTO, Bonus

Key Responsibilities

As Director of Substation Engineering, you will:

• Lead and manage the Substation Design team supporting utility clients.
• Drive team performance through hiring, mentoring, and performance reviews.
• Maintain and grow client relationships, identifying opportunities for new business.
• Represent the firm at industry events, client meetings, and presentations.
• Oversee project management and execution from initiation through closeout, providing technical guidance.
• Support QA/QC efforts and serve as Engineer of Record when needed (with reduced involvement as the team expands).

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10-20+ years of experience in HV substation design engineering.
• Proven leadership in managing and mentoring engineering teams.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (required).
