Garage Porter

Pay: $13.00 to $15.00 an hour. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

The Garage Porter provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver license.
• Must have painting experience.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• 1 year of similar work experience

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities/parking garages
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Notify Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to garage operating systems
• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, light fixtures and equipment
• Move boxes, furniture, crates and equipment, either manually or by using golf cart
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
• Change light bulbs
• Gather and empty trash
• Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
• Wipe and clean elevator cabs
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms
• Pick up trash
• Work weekend as needed
• Pressure washing
• Painting curbs, lines and any other items that are needed.
• Clean cobwebs off light fixtures
• Dust and clean stairwells
• Count occupied garage spaces daily.
• Service garage gate equipment for minor repairs.
