Akkodis is seeking an AV Service Technician for a Direct Hire with a client in Houston, TX. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial audio-visual systems to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

AV Service Technician job responsibilities include:

• Install, operate, and service audio-visual systems and related infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality.
• Troubleshoot and repair AV systems, providing timely technical support to clients and team members.
• Read and interpret AV system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals for accurate installation and maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance visits to maintain stable and reliable client-based systems.
• Upload and download control programs (AMX/Crestron/Firmware) and configure AV equipment as required.
• Provide end-user training and interact with clients professionally, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in AV systems preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial audio-visual system integration and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with major AV equipment such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Shure, and similar systems.
• Ability to read and interpret AV system drawings and technical manuals and perform troubleshooting and repairs independently.
