Analyst II/Sr Network Planning
Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP is a midstream master limited partnership that provides transportation, storage, gathering, and processing of natural gas and liquids for its customers. The company operates in the midstream portion of the natural gas and natural gas liquids industry, providing transportation and storage services for customers. Its 14,000 miles of pipeline and storage assets provide diverse market connectivity to producers and end-users who need reliable sources of natural gas for power generation, home heating, or petrochemical feedstocks. We are currently looking for an Analyst II/Sr Network Planning to work in our Houston, TX location. The Network Analyst II/Senior is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructure to support the organization's operational needs. Leveraging extensive expertise in routing, network design, and advanced configurations of Cisco and Fortinet equipment, the role ensures the reliability, security, and scalability of network systems. The analyst will troubleshoot complex network issues, manage network performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and technological advancements. This position plays a key role in maintaining high standards for network architecture and ensuring seamless connectivity across the organization.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Advanced Routing Knowledge Proficiency in routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP for network optimization and troubleshooting.
- Network Design & Architecture Experience in designing scalable, reliable, and secure network architectures.
- Cisco Equipment Expertise Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Fortinet Equipment Expertise Extensive knowledge of Fortinet firewalls, VPN solutions, and other Fortinet security appliances.
- Network Troubleshooting Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues in both LAN and WAN environments.
- Network Security Understanding of network security protocols and best practices, including firewall configurations and VPN management.
- IP Addressing & Subnetting Strong understanding of IP addressing schemes, subnets, and IP routing.
- Performance Monitoring Familiarity with network performance monitoring tools and techniques to ensure optimal network performance.
- Project Management Experience with managing network-related projects from inception to completion.
- Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Certifications Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, and Fortinet certifications like NSE 4 or NSE 5.
- Advanced Network Security Knowledge Expertise in network security solutions, intrusion detection/prevention, and threat mitigation.
- Automation & Scripting Knowledge of network automation tools or scripting languages (Python, Ansible, etc.) to streamline network operations.
- Cloud Networking Experience with cloud platforms and hybrid network configurations (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- VoIP & UC Systems Familiarity with VoIP technologies and Unified Communications (UC) systems for integrated network environments.
- Wireless Networking Experience with wireless network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery Knowledge of designing networks for high availability and business continuity.
- Quality of Service (QoS) Experience with QoS configuration and implementation to prioritize traffic for critical applications.
Required Education:
Technical College or Cisco and Fortinet Certification
Preferred Education:
IT Technical college degree
