Painter
Eaton's EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Painter. The core hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is $19.91 per hour.

What You'll Do:
In this role, you will work as a member of the operations team in achieving employee safety, product quality, and production goals of the site. This role will be responsible operating the paint line to prepare and apply powder coating paint with equipment. This role is also responsible to support product assembly, sand blasting, paint area wash line, and other assigned operations within the fabrication. This role reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor directly.
- Prepare parts to be loaded and unloaded from the conveyer paint line
- Understands quality control process for inspection sheets and non conforming material. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor
- Pay attention to product and process details to ensure safety, quality, delivery and efficiency
- Operate powder coating oven and paint application
- Operate wash line as part of the powder coating operation. Ensure wash tank chemicals are properly maintained
- Operate sand blaster as needed
- Assemble light fixtures as part of assembly line
- Cooperatively work in teams to address problems/issues.
- Identify methods to improve efficiency.
- Adhere to safety policy and practices to ensure safety at all times
- Cross-train as needed to develop additional skills sets to flex as needed with demand
- Responsible for maintaining work area and general shop area in a clean and orderly condition
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisory or management personnel.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Experience in parts washing, powder coating or mechanical assembly
- Experience reading and understanding drawing and Bill of Material specifications
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Houston, TX will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Skills:
Position Criteria:
- Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours
- Ability to follow all safety regulations associated
- Standing, stooping, squatting, can be expected along with other means to transfer parts.
- Must be able to frequently lift, pull, and push objects that are up to 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 35 pounds with assistance.
- Must be able to wear daily required PPE (safety glasses and steel toe shoes) and where required hearing protection. Additional PPE requirements may exist depending on task such as but not limited to gloves when handling material and ear plugs.
- Ability to carry out instructions with little or no follow-up required from supervisor(s).
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply simple calculations involving time-motion analysis.
