Construction Manager

The Construction Manager will work to ensure quality delivery of design and implementation services to Quiddity's Water/Wastewater clients. This position requires a high degree of knowledge of Water/Wastewater engineering projects, contracts, design, and best construction practices for implementation and delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Manage construction implementation, overall administrative and technical direction for water and wastewater projects from start to finish.
  • Manage field inspection schedule efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with projects through strong knowledge of contracts, schedules, drawings, estimates, and specifications.
  • Use excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills to interact with clients, vendors, and project teams. Manage deficiencies, variances, and safety policy violations.
  • Review and verify contractor "as built" drawings.
  • Coordinate, direct, and monitor activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, and related entities.
  • Manage project data, communications, approvals, official documents, and keep them current.
  • Handle change/field orders, contracts, pay estimates, inspections, punch lists, schedules, and project close-out. Resolve non-conformance issues.
  • Lead project meetings, document and track relevant information and statuses.
  • Track RFIs and submittals, develop responses, and collaborate with the Engineer of Record and design team.
  • Assist with verification of activity schedules and oversee field staff.
  • Attend bid openings and district meetings.
  • Adhere to safety and environmental policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Water/Wastewater construction management.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand contracts for compliance assessment.
  • Knowledge of construction estimating, cost, project controls, scheduling, documentation, engineering, and construction principles.
  • Experience in accounting, cost control, administrative, and personnel interactions.
  • Strong team-building skills.
  • Valid Texas Driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD/Civil 3D and scheduling software a plus.
