Are you a senior construction professional with a proven track record of delivering complex commercial projects? Our client, a highly respected Commercial General Contractor in Houston, is looking to appoint an experienced Project Executive to lead their growing portfolio of ground-up developments across the region.

The Role – Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Executive, you will play a key leadership role, responsible for the success of multiple commercial projects from inception to completion. Your duties will include:

• Executive oversight of multiple large-scale ground-up projects simultaneously
• Lead preconstruction efforts, including budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, and value engineering
• Partner closely with clients to ensure expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide strategic direction and mentorship to Project Managers, Superintendents, and support staff
• Conduct regular project reviews to monitor progress, financial performance, and risk mitigation
• Ensure adherence to contract requirements, safety protocols, and quality control standards
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, consultants, trade partners, and vendors
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within project delivery
• Collaborate with senior leadership on staffing, forecasting, and business development initiatives
• Support estimating and business development teams with proposals, presentations, and pursuit strategies
• Identify and resolve high-level project issues and potential risks early to avoid delays or cost overruns

Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience in commercial construction, including large-scale ground-up projects
• Proven background managing diverse project types: HealthcareRetailEducationOffice, etc.
• Strong track record of long tenures with previous employers – stability is essential
• Ability to manage complex project portfolios while maintaining quality and budget control
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Local market knowledge of the Houston construction industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
