Fast forward to today, that dedication to quality and understanding of players' needs has turned Marucci into an All-American success story, the number one bat preferred by players and The Official Bat of Major League Baseball (MLB).Position Summary:Marucci Sports is looking for a General Manager in Houston! The Hitters House General Manager oversees the overall leadership and management of the store and is responsible for driving its success, profitability, and operational excellence. This role is accountable for ensuring maximum sales through merchandise, inventory, expense control, and staff management. This role is also responsible for managing all aspects of the indoor batting facility including maintenance, profitability, programs, memberships, etc.Position Responsibilities:Set the standard of exceptional customer service to ensure that every customer interaction reflects the brand's values and delivers an exceptional shopping experience.Maintain excellent product knowledge.Represent the brand, understand the competition, and retail landscape.Train, develop, and assist employees to become part of a motivated sales force.Analyze and measure sales trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.Adapt team priorities to respond to customer and business partner needs.Control shrinkage, expenses, and payroll.Ensure visual standards for retail and cage areas are always maintained and working properly.Assign employee's daily task.Directly responsible for the sales records and reporting details to the supervisor on a weekly basis.Work with operations to ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels.Work with the merchandising team on merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing, and assortment in all departments; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked.Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits, etc.Plan and prepare staff scheduling appropriately for both in and off season.Manage social media accounts of the assigned location to create content and promote engagement.Collaborate with corporate to develop marketing and business strategies.Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:Verbal and written communication skills.Interpersonal and customer service skills.Organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Competencies:Customer Mindset : Creating an exceptional experience for internal stakeholders and external customers. Considers impact of decisions on all stakeholders across organization.Position Qualifications:Education:Associates degree or equivalent experience.Experience:At least 2+ years of experience in a retail setting.At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.Baseball/softball knowledge preferred.Work Environment and Physical RequirementsPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing and walking.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.This is a full-time position, 40+ hours a week.
